Deadline: 21 January 2022 (5 pm)
Deadline for submitting clarification requests to CEAA (Optional): 14 January 2022
The Citizen Engagement for Accountability Activity in Zimbabwe (hereinafter referred to as CEAA) invites Individual Women-Led Organisations both formal and informal organizations legally registered in Zimbabwe or not registered in Zimbabwe to submit Concept Notes for the Women-Led Grants.
CEAA is a five-year Activity implemented by a consortium of Zimbabwean organizations, which includes the CEAA Secretariat, Legal Resources Foundation (LRF), Women Academy of Leadership and Political Excellence (WALPE), and Restless Development. CEAA contributes to strengthening a culture of political and civic engagement in Zimbabwe by promoting greater and more effective citizen participation in governance processes at multiple levels with an eye to improved, citizen-driven development. The Activity works with and through local organizations’ initiatives and seeks unique methods and innovative pathways and partnerships to achieve this purpose. CEAA’s objectives are to: (1) Activate citizen agency for accountability, (2) Strengthen women’s leadership and inclusion, and (3) Enhance youth empowerment and positive engagement.
CEAA welcomes concepts that feature an integrated approach in conducting activities within and across geographies, stakeholders, and sectors.
The aim of this round of Women-Led grants is to undertake innovative activities that support Gender Equality and Women Empowerment. The grants will specifically focus on supporting initiatives that promote women’s participation in leadership, women’s economic empowerment, addressing Violence Against Women and Girls, and women’s access to justice through traditional and modern justice systems.
