So Yes! The week has ended on a high note! How could it not with the famous dancer Beverly Sibanda
tying the knot (wait, did I just rhyme ‘notes’ and ‘knots’?) with her husband, a Zimbabwean Doctor
based in England. Church girls are on some sort of rant, not sure if it’s healthy but they have been
wondering what exactly it takes for a guy to put a ring on it?
On our Ndeipi PaTown segment, we also asked what exactly it was that earned women marriage since
they are culturally and mostly on the receiving end!! Is it beauty, character, fame or just the ‘Grace of
God? Miss T stood firmly behind the ‘grace of God’ connotation since, clearly nothing but the grace of
God could have helped Bev get married!!
Makay gave some of us a low blow by stating that ‘Church girls’ where actually the worst as they
pretend whilst they are relationships and then show their true colours when a guy has officially put a
ring on it.
Listening to their conversation, I then went on to play an audio from a girl who was asking guys what it
took because she was still single yet she did everything by the ‘book’. Which book, the Holy Bible or the
Quran, nobody knows. Another ‘theory’ that surfaced was that when you see a grown man choosing to
marry a stripper or a pole dancer maybe he was heartbroken by the so called ‘good girls’. As we ran out
of time on Ndeipi PaTown we concluded that there was indeed no formula. Love comes softly and yes,
call it what you want, the Universe or Allah but for us it’s the Grace God!!
